Improving Cellulite: Is it possible?
If you have oily skin, it is quite likely that you have certain concerns about its appearance. Particularly in the warmer months, it can be challenging for you to maintain its flawless condition, hence it is always important to know how to prepare the skin for the summer. The overproduction of sebum leads to a shiny complexion and to clogged pores and acne. But the good news is that we have the perfect beauty routine for oily skin
The oil that we have in our skin is a natural source that keeps it moisturized. Bear in mind that frequent exposure to the sun or air pollution are aggressions that our skin has to face on a regular basis. Without this natural protection, the skin gets easily damaged.
But where does this oil come from? Well, we all have sebaceous glands located in our skin and this oily substance that we see is called sebum. Its function is to lubricate the skin and protect it from drying out which results in irritation.
When we secreted it through our pores with sweat, we get rid of dead skin cells as well as other irritants. If the process is working well, our skill will look balanced, but when the sebaceous glands produce an excess of sebum, the skin tends to look shiny and the pores clogged, which leads to acne breakouts.
We all need this natural oil in our skin unless we want it to look extremely dry and damaged. But in order to control its greasy appearance, there are tips and routines you can follow both in the morning and in the evening to keep your skin shine-free and healthy.

Even though it may seem too good to be true, cleansing your skin with water is more effective than you think! It is not recommended to do it too often throughout the day, but if your skin type is oily, you can definitely tolerate it a bit more often!
But why is it so important to cleanse our faces in the morning? Because during the night the skin is shedding skin cells, but also producing oils that will maintain it healthy and hydrated. When we wash it as part of our morning routine, we get rid of all those dead cells. Bear in mind that the longer that dirt and bacteria stay on your skin, the more chances to have acne breakouts.
Also, it’s important to combine water with a good exfoliating cleanser, such as those with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Not only you will clear away everything that your skin doesn’t need anymore, but you will also keep acne away. However, remember to be gentle and stay away from harsh soaps.

Toning is not just for our bodies, but also for our faces, as it’s an excellent way to ensure that we remove all the dirt. Even though you may have used a cleanser before to wash your oily skin, it is also good to add this extra care to make sure that nothing is left behind.
But what is a toner for exactly? Its job is to erase any traces of dirt and impurities you may still have stuck in your pores after you washed it. If you add to your daily routine, you will impact your appearance and your tightness in a positive way, that is, your skin will look younger and healthier! Also, the toner restores your pH level, smooths your skin, and improves the tone.
If you use it in the morning, you’ll be ready to face your day with a clean look and if you use it before you go to bed, you will ensure that no makeup, oil, or dirt will go to sleep with you. In case you don’t know which ones you should use, we recommend those with lactic acid, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid. And to apply it, use a cotton ball; soak it with the toner and sweep it across your skin very gently. Once you’ve done this, it’s time to go to the next tip in your daily routine for oily skin.

As oily skin produces way more sebum than it is needed, you may think that your skin does not need more hydration. However, we have to tell you this is wrong. Your skin is still exposed to the sun and air pollution, so at the end of the day, it will be as tired and dehydrated as dry skin. If you deprive it of moisture, you might start producing even more oil to try to compensate with the loss.
So, all you have to do in order to keep it balanced is to use an oil-free and non-comedogenic moisturizer. They are absorbed quickly, and the feeling is very light on the skin. Also, this kind of moisturizer dries matte, so you won’t have to worry about a shiny effect. We recommend those that are water-based.

The last part of your beauty routine will depend on your concerns. For example, you might use retinol in order to fight signs of skin aging or to treat acne, or serums with specific ingredients and purposes. Some of them help to reduce blemishes and to brighten the skin, others will boost hydrations or fight all signs of aging. You choose the one that suits you the most!
If you are prone to acne, products with benzoyl peroxide are always a good option during the day. And in the evening, you could use the retinol product to keep your pores clean. Your skin will naturally glow!
To combine with your beauty routine, there are other treatments you can add to keep acne at bay. Blotting papers control excess oil, sunscreen will protect it and prevent acne breakouts and micro-vibrations eliminate toxins and stimulate cell regeneration.
